where were you? its pretty amusing to hear a hundred people go "what the fuck" at the same time. i was at work when the power went out and usually, the backup generators come on when the power goes out but this time, the whole place just went dead, registers and all so of course people went a little crazy demanding to be rung up on terminals with zero power. sure lady that will be 16.99 and if you could place that right into my pocket that would be just great massive bbq on my block last night. steaks and ice cream. my mom cooked like there was a platoon of the us navy at our front door. took some candles and lit up the porch, sat outside and let the mosquitos have a field day. kind of eerie walking down the block and the only lights are headlights aimed straight at you, or punk kids flashlights blinding your eyes. passed out on the couch around 1130 and heard a distant cheer from the rest of my family around 130 when the power came back (temporarily). kissed jeff goodnight and crawled upstairs to my airconditioned haven. too bad when i woke up power was out again. but the jobby job's power had been restored so i was expected in. great. super duper. our bar was packed tonight. had to make up for last night you know. served all mixed drinks in frosty mugs. big ass frosty mugs. thank heaven for the spell check key. hopefully a return to normalcy tomorrow morning. and i get to use my hair dryer. bobby's going away party tomorrow night. air force. another one bites the dust
