the essentials

im filled with stories to tell.

friday night was a concert evening, live music makes me happy. on our way there jeff and i stopped for burgers at some rest stop and tried to figure out who would be attending the show with us. the ones with the pink hair, pins and burger king crowns.

stewarts black cherry fountain soda and absolut citron make a wonderful combination for parking lot cocktails.

we made it to the show before the opening act even when on. i think the curse is broken. we did have to wait on a massive line (our section of the line didnt even have lights on that part of the boardwalk) that we were dead last in (but then a group of 16 year olds came and stood behind us chanting "last in line! last in line! WhOoOoO) but very well worth the delight of seeing a good opening band. moneen and their logo was a butterfly so they are ok in my book.

although i am not a particular fan of taking back sunday they did their thing and rocked out but theyll never make it on one of my compilation cds.

saves the day was of course, amazing. they played every song i requested in my head, even holly hox. a definite top five category show.

towards the end of the show christian paged us asking for a lift home. he had come with one of his friends with the intention of getting tickets from a scalper but it turned out, he couldnt find any. this is a concert first. they hung around outside until his friend left to go meet his friends at a diner and christian depending on us still being there to give him a lift home. i couldnt help laughing out loud while he told the story.

fast forward to saturday night at the san gennaro feast. my stomach never smelled air that sweet. though i must lodge a complaint about their mudslides. they kinda forgot the alcohol...and the chocolate. something like frothy water and it cost 10 bucks. nastyness on all levels.

the pics below were taked at the feast, after it closed we walked around with the rest of the tourists and these guys were more than willing to pose so why the hell not?

tonight we rested here and watched the ppv. im quite the wrestling fan and enjoy the monthly matches and the drama that follows along. keith and matt joined me for pizza and the show and we stuffed ourselves silly and yelled at the tv screen because the refs are fucking assholes.

sorry.

i think...no im pretty sure i have something due tomorrow in one of my classes and i should really go figure out what that is before the bus ride to school where i freak out and have to hand in some loose-leaf scribbled report. this is all that defines a monday morning.

i thought this sign was amusing. exit at rector street
